This is my portrait of my father (1940s Style). I did this in charcoal.

Portrait #4

A portrait of my friend, Jay (1940s style). I made his face merge into the darkness of the wall. I did this in charcoal.

Portrait #3

A finished product of my teacher's portrait. Notice how he just pops out of the darkness and how I summarized his hat so your eyes would have to fill in the rest. I erased some of the blackness to make the tie and then all of a sudden...BOOM... you can see what type of shirt he is wearing, your eyes fill in the rest.

#1 of 5 portraits

This is a portrait of my mom which is the first of my five portraits I am to do. I am doing a set of five portraits of people I never want to forget like my mom, dad, brother, friend Jay, and my teacher Mr. Schick.
They all will be done in charcoal.
